so part of this whole “being abroad” thing is about, i guess, “trying new things” and “self-discovery” and “new hobbies.” well, my extensive list of new hobbies  (buying things, blogging, pushing disabled children into the arno)  has an addition, which conveniently also comes in the form of a new bff. meet david paul. (actually i have no idea what his name is, but i’ve landed on david paul because i feel like it’s a name that would only belong to an upstanding gentleman who probably wins good citizen awards, cleans up interstates, and at one point was an eagle scout and met the president). ANYWAY, on school nights when homework is done, david paul teaches me the thriller dance. it’s very sensual. i’m getting quite good and i perform it for the cats (who, after i master the dance will learn a feline version of it, and we will then become a band of woman and cat and david paul who will unite possibly on cbs or some other major network channel and perform it for my all of mankind as it will also be broadcast in over 70 countries plus in american sign language). this is all going to happen, friends.
